Every morning starts with the same small ritual. You open your work, look at everything you could possibly do, and try to decide what you will actually do. For most tools that means scanning a few boards, eyeballing due dates, and holding the plan in your head until lunch undoes it.

We wanted that ritual to take ten seconds, not ten minutes. So we built My Work Today, a new widget that lives right on your dashboard.

Planned and Suggested

My Work Today has two sections.

Planned is what you committed to. Open any task or work item assigned to you and click “Plan for today”, and it shows up here. There is no date picker and no scheduling. One click and it is on your list, the handful of things you have decided to do, not everything on your plate.

And it sticks. If you do not finish something today, it does not quietly vanish at midnight. It carries over to the next day and stays in Planned until you actually resolve it, so the work you committed to keeps looking back at you until it is done.

Suggested is the day SRP thinks you should consider. It surfaces work automatically based on what is due and how it is prioritized, so the things quietly approaching their deadline do not slip past you just because you forgot to plan them. It is a safety net under your own plan.

Both sections span tasks and work items together, because your day is not split neatly by item type, and neither should your morning view be.

Built around your actual day

The “today” window respects your timezone, so the feed matches your day rather than a server’s guess. And because not everyone wants the same density, a simple Less-to-More slider lets you trade focus for completeness: keep it tight when you want a short list, widen it when you want the full picture.

When there is genuinely nothing due, it says so. “Nothing due today. Enjoy the breathing room.” A clear all-clear beats a blank box.

Less context-switching, more momentum

The whole point is to stop the morning scavenger hunt. You open your dashboard, your day is already laid out, and you get to work. Planning happens on the item itself, so the widget stays a calm, readable view rather than one more thing to manage.

Open your dashboard and meet the new first thing you will look at every morning.
